Problems that need to be paid attention to in the production process of acrylic sheet
1. Reserve space for expansion and contraction
Acrylic cast plates will have a certain expansion coefficient during processing, so you must consider leaving enough space for its expansion and contraction during stacking or processing.
2. Cannot be exposed to direct sunlight
The glue adhesive cannot be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time before it is completely cured. If it is irradiated for a long time, the bonding surface will turn yellow and affect the final aesthetics of the product. Therefore, before the product is used, especially when it is used outdoors, it must be used after the adhesive is completely cured.
3. Don't directly touch the wind
After applying the glue, do not directly touch the wind on the edges. If the wind blows quickly, the drying will be quick, but the edges will turn white due to the rapid volatilization.
4. Protect the places that do not need to be bonded
Professional acrylic products are customized when bonding, because the glue has strong corrosiveness, if it is dripped on the surface, it will leave traces that are difficult to eliminate. Therefore, some things must be used to protect the areas that do not need to be glued.
5. Be careful of static electricity
Processing static electricity is easy to generate static electricity and attract dust in summer or in a processing workshop with a high degree of dryness. When cleaning, you should wipe it with a soft cotton cloth dipped in soapy water or thinner.
6. The amount of glue should be appropriate
When bonding, if the amount is small, there will be no hits, and bubbles will be generated. Too much will overflow, so you must use an appropriate amount when bonding, and pay attention to the amount of glue used during long-term processing.
7. Control temperature
Ordinary sheets will deform when the temperature is about 100 degrees. Acrylic products processed above this temperature will lose the unique characteristics of acrylic.
8. The bonding surface should be cleaned
The acrylic bonding surface should be cleaned. If there are impurities such as dust and pores, air bubbles will be generated during bonding and the glue will flow unevenly.
9. Avoid scratches
The hardness of acrylic, the hardness of the surface of the sheet is only equivalent to that of aluminum. When using or processing acrylic, you should be very careful to avoid scratching and losing the surface gloss.
